Art Advisory Services

Appraisals

We offer certified appraisals of art in accordance with the international standards and insurance, notary, tax and legal requirements. We also offer art appraisals for museums, private collections and corporate art collections. We also provide appraisal documentation.

TYPES OF APPRAISALS:
Insurance coverage. We provide art appraisal for insurance purposes, as well as in cases of loss or damage.
Charitable donations. We offer appraisals of gifts and charitable donations, prepare analysis to be included in the corporate balance sheet in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.
Property appraisals. In case of divorce or partnership termination, death of the artist or collector property appraisal is completed to assess the property value and tax.

Expertise

We offer art expertise to authenticate a work of art and to confirm its author. This can be done in several stages, including stylistic and technical analysis and, if necessary, additional examination by experts in the field of art restoration, chemistry, radiology, etc. We provide different types of analysis, including UV, IR, X-Ray, microscopic, among other types of analysis. We offer expertise services for art by Latvian artists.

About us

Inga Bunkše, the founder and manager of ART EXPERTS, has graduated from the Art Academy of Latvia with Master’s degree in Arts and Science. She is author of several books and numerous publications, curator of exhibitions and Editor-in-Chief of the art magazine “Studija”. She has been awarded the Latvian Architecture Award in 2014, “Kilograms Kultūras” (Kilogram of Culture) award in 2017 for her curatorial work, among other awards. She is a certified art and collectibles appraiser of LIVA (Latvian Association of Property Appraisers) working in accordance with the international standards of ethics and knowledge.
